Women live longer, earn less and take more breaks from the workplace to care for children and elderly parents. And though studies show that women tend to save a slightly higher percentage of their paychecks then men, they ultimately end up with smaller balances because of their lower earnings. We wanted to bridge the gap of financial literacy by helping women gain confidence when it comes to their finances while also giving them the tools to do so by creating a new app called Aspiration.

THE APP
Aspiration is an app which makes investing easy and was created specifically for women. Women tend to be more risk-aware and desire more certainty in order to achieve their financial goals. Through the use of Wells Fargo financial advisors, a strategy is created for each customer that is easy to control through Aspiration. We believe that one step towards closing the wage gap is by giving women financial confidence to reach their goals.
INVEST IN WHAT YOU LOVE
Women are labeled as "uneducated" within the financial world. So, we decided to play with the labels of the brands they love and interact with on a daily basis. Whether at their favorite retail store, picking up their morning bagel, or trying to get their sweat on the local gym, the labels will feature company investment information and tips on not only the brand but how Aspiration can help you invest in that brand and profit on its success.
